Wines of the month - July

Dr. Bürklin-Wolf, Riesling Trocken 2017, Pfalz, Germany

The tradition at the Dr. Bürklin-Wolf Estate in Wachenheim dates back to 1597, it is one of the largest and most important estates in Germany. The entire vineyard area was converted to biodynamics in 2005. This ensures that the diversity and depth of the terroir can be mirrored and presented perfectly the wines. This wine has a full, rich bouquet of ripe apple, pear and apricot. The stone fruit flavours continue on the palate with a refreshing streak of acidity. Perfect with smoked fish or pork dishes but also great for sipping in the garden..

Julien Mus, Ju de Vie 2017, Southern Rhône

Domaine de la Graveirette is a relatively small winery located in the Southern Rhône valley, between Orange and Avignon, with Mont Ventoux to the east and the hills of Châteauneuf du Pape to the west. Farmed Organically and now certified Biodynamic, the wines have a finesse and freshness that sets them apart from the crowd. Great with heartier bbq fayre and enjoyed into the warmer summer nights..
